Design is Everywhere

For more than 25 years, I’ve helped a number of companies with their brand identity, digital marketing and ecommerce solutions. I create and present proposals, estimate budgets, define scope, and deliver experience design projects. My expertise includes company branding and identity, leading discovery, content strategy, user research, UI design, design systems, and design engineering. I have a background that includes frontend development which allows me to collaborate with developers and stay efficient with delivery.

I enjoy leading teams of creative designers, working with developers, and learning something new everyday. My most admired mentors taught me to be confident, work hard and listen well. 

My Career

I’ve been designing beautiful and functional things for the last 25 years and it all began with a book, Teach Yourself HTML in 24 Hours. My first job after college was with a digital agency in Dallas. They didn't have any openings for designers just design techs. With my crash course on HTML and CSS I began my journey into web and digital design. What I learned was two-fold. One, having a diverse background in both design and development is highly valuable to successful digital projects. Two, never turn down an opportunity to learn something new, even if it is out of your comfort zone.

My development and design process is essentially the same: research, design, test, refine, implement, repeat. This process came to me naturally and intuitively. I empathize with customers, logically organize information, build and test prototype systems, and deliver projects that exceed expectations.

User-centered design (UCD) is my goal and my passion. I'm successful in my professional career because I focus on the customers of my clients. By keeping that at the forefront of my design process, I have always managed to strike the perfect balance between a user’s needs and a company’s wants.
